Virginia was born in Louisiana, raised on the east coast, and educated in England. She has a BA and MFA, both from NYU. Her first production gig was as an intern on the Emmy Award winning show 'The Colbert Report' in its 9th and final season. From there she interned in media advance for the Mayor's Office of New York City in 2015, as part of the team  setting the stage for the mayor's many media appearances, from The Blue Room in City Hall, to a range of locations in all five boroughs. From there she moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to cut her teeth as an actor, driving all over southern California and the Southwest in an old Ford Bronco to do student films, independents, and experimental theatre. She studied a range of techniques, but opted to start filming her own work, gaining valuable experience in a range of duties organizing film crews, production teams, and casts. She made her directorial debut in Tokyo alongside fashion photographer Koji Ueda, sponsored by Japanese brands GR8 and Saint Mxxxxxx to make short film 'Karita.' The short has garnered positive reviews on FilmThreat and Asian Movie Pulse as it made it's premiere at 2024's Dances With Films and screened in the AAPI Block at Hollyshorts. She was comissioned by luxury department store ZOZOVILLA to write and direct a four part dramatic short film for social media to showcase their womenswear line with US Standard Apparel ECOCYCLE. The result was 'Horse' which has received laurels from Flicker's Rhode Island International Filn Festival, and is screening as part the prestigious Portland Film Festival's online advertisement block. 

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Cali deWitt and their son Sam.

Marcin Szocinski migrated to America on 4th of July. He was 17 years old and owned two pairs of jeans, one for Sundays. He drifted from coast to coast trying to find any evidence of the American dream he saw on TV as a kid. He's currently based in Los Angeles with his partner and baby, and has not found it yet.
